Toronto, day nine

Today’s odyssey found me navigating the streets of Toronto via bus to the CAMH campus on Queen St W to get my monthly injection of Maxima Ambilify. after losing my wallet, I’ve found it easier to attend the same TD branch to withdraw cash to spend, so I headed down to Bay St and King.

I withdrew funds and found a nearby McDonalds to get a coffee and bus change. Without my bus card, that was lost when I lost my wallet, I’ve been paying cash for bus rides. I found I had to walk down to the west side of Queen and University to catch the 501L to 1000 Queen St W.

When I arrived I had to find the door to enter and looked for the outpatient pharmacy to retrieve my meds. The staff was very helpful and tried to get me to the CAMH Emergency to be triaged and injected.

After wandering and a couple of google maps, I found my way to the Emergency. I was second in line and taken in to triage then talked to the social worker and another person. I was given a turkey sandwich, yogurt, and a juice. Yummy, yummy, yummy. Next a psychiatrist talked with me and my mom over the phone. Eventually I was injected and released.

I found a bus stop for the 501 and got on. Getting off at University I walked the rest of the 5 km back to Scott and Front E where I have been sleeping on a concrete ledge built into a building. That’s today’s story with a happy ending as I fed a bunch of sparrows and a few pigeons.
