Off and sailing

I’ve been in TO for nearly 3 weeks now. I’ve met a few people who seemed encouragingly kind like the patrol officers who let me sleep on Scott & Front E on a concrete bench, the shelter denizens of Novacare, and Meighen, and the whole lot I delt with at the CAMH campus. Over all I’d say TO’s habitants are a 9 outta ten.

Last night I had a man throw me a ham sandwich while I slept on the grass under a tree at Moss Park across from the Meighen shelter. It was pleasant as the Interact network was down and I couldn’t eat all day as my cash had run out. I woke about 2 am and went to a 24h PetroCanada for smokes.

While smoking, I wandered to a 24h A&W, and had a mozza burger, onion rings, and a root beer. I ordered a coffee to go as I finished charging my cell phone and then wandered towards the docks. I’m sitting here near enough to know what destiny means.

The more I think it the more I want, expect really, to finish my voyage out on the high seas. Today is Sunday, so I doubt there will be any action but I will be nearby for tomorrow and hopefully will get a lead. Farewell Canada and your goodwill to all.
